Crop Top Inspiration

Tuesday, September 23, 2014 /

Here at Rebel we believe that crop tops are an essential part of your wardrobe. Even with crisp fall days upon us the ways to style crop tops are endless. If you’re needing some crop top outfit inspiration check out the chic ladies below.
From Teardrops on my Guitar to Shake It Off being a swifty from day one has allowed me to see T.Swift’s transformation. Opening her self to pop music this year and becoming arguably one of the top fashionista makes us want even more Taylor! Her outfits are not only perfect but they include endless crop tops like the one shown below. You can never go wrong with a crop top, high-waisted skirt, tights, and heels combo. If you want to recreate a Taylor look-a-like outfit pair our J’Adore off-the-shoulder crop top with a high-waisted colored skirt of your choice!
If you are obsessed with fashion month as much as we are you’ll know that Kendall Jenner is making her mark. Appearing in several LFW shows and looking fierce as ever. Not only does she kill it on the runway but her laid back outfits for go-see’s make us all want to look and dress like Kendall herself. Want a similar laid-back outfit like the one shown below? Head over to Rebel Redefined and get our Fashion School Dropout crop tee, pair it with some distressed jeans, and you have an effortless chic look in seconds.

If you support team Miley like we do then you know that Miley can do no wrong in crop tops. Pairing them with shorts, harlem pants, and skirts she knows what it takes to Rock the Crop. If you want to join us on the Team Miley click here to get the Team Miley crop tank that would go perfect with a leather jacket and a pair of cheetah harlem pants!

The Rebel dream team supports crop tops in all seasons and so should you!

Sending you positive vibes.

10 Things We Loved This Week

Friday, September 19, 2014 /

Friday is FINALLY here again, and it's time to recap on our favorite things that happened this week.

1.     We will be watching The Notebook and crying into our pillow for days because of the fact that Ryan Gosling is now a dad! Although hearts across the world are breaking can we say DILF?
2.     If November 21st could hurry up that would be grrreat. This week The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay Part 1 trailer came out and we can’t get enough. Team Gale or team Peeta which one are you?

3.     Hope Solo made history this week by getting her 72nd shutout on the national team. It takes hard work and determination to be a Rebel girl and with idols like this it makes us even more motivated.

4.     We totes hope this rumor is true! This week the report that BeyoncĂ© and Jay Z were working on an album together. Talk about relationship goals!

5.     Whether you love them or hate them Kimye is everywhere. This week Kim announced that her and Kanye were trying for a second baby! Let’s hope we can all handle another name like North!
6.     If your not excited for the new season of the voice to start watching Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s lip syncing battle on Jimmy Fallon will def change your mind! Check it out here

7.     This week Miss. America 2014 was crowned. Congrats Miss New York, Kira Kazantsev!

8.     If you’re not already obsessed with anything John Green rights the fact that super model Cara Delevingne snagged a leading role should make you excited for his next book turned movie, Paper Towns. Model turned actress this girl must be able to do it all!

9.     LC got married this last weekend and can we say adorable. Of course Lauren wouldn’t have anything less than picture perfect for that special day. Can you believe its been 10 years since Laguna Beach aired its first episode?! Excuse us while we feel old.

10.  Of course last but certainly not least LFW was in full swing. And of course we’re jealous we couldn't afford to attend (at least not this year) we’ll participate via Instagram shamelessly likely ever single picture available.

Happy weekend from the Rebel team to you!

London Fashion Week

Thursday, September 18, 2014 /

Last week New York, this week London. Fashion month is in full swing and I am just TOO excited about it. The street style at London fashion week was truly amazing. I have selected my top 5 best dressed from the street style of LFW. Jolly good!

1.     Poppy Delevingne
This lovely lady just knocks it out of the park every time. A gorgeous Topshop blouse, paired with Jbrand jeans and a House of Holland bag….so simple and so perfect. Add a stunning pair of Chanel heels and you are verging on goddess. Between Poppy and Cara, I may ask Mr. and Mrs. Delevingne to adopt me?

2.     Olivia Palermo (OBVIOUSLY)
This is a best-dressed list, so Olivia of course makes the cut. Palermo can literally do no wrong. Honestly if she wore a trash bag to an event, I would wear a trash bag. She looks uncontrollably cool here in a gorgeous midi length Tibi skirt and pale pink sweater. She embodies what it means to be stylish, plus I LOVE the tassels on her jacket.
3.     Elena Perminova
This stunning Russian lady has been OWNING London Fashion Week. This does not shock me as last year she literally stole the show every time she left the house/five star hotel she stayed in.  She wears a Burberry cape with a simple navy mini skirt and daring thigh high red boots…because she can okay? You go Elena!

4.     Camille Charriere
This flawless French blogger is next on the list for one main reason: Isabel Marant. Camille is rocking a look by one of my all time favourite designers and for that I say well done. She also wears the two-piece cream skirt and sweater incredibly well. Oh and THE SHOES are to die for. C’est tres chic!
5.     Kerry Pieri
This one is kind of awkward because Kerry is wearing the same Isabel Marant skirt that we saw Camille Charriere in…but that’s fashion! Kerry wears the skirt in a totally different way! The stunning digital editor at Harper Bazaar pairs the skirt with a grey turtleneck, a tailored blazer and KILLER shoes. The hint of sparkle of the Alaia boots completely finishes off this amazing look.

Oh how I LOVE this time of year. It might almost be better than Christmas…ALMOST.

Until next time!

How We Wear It: 'Fashion School Dropout' #OOTD

Friday, September 12, 2014 /

On a beautiful morning in the city, any young #GIRLBOSS needs her caffeine before the day’s craziness begins. My galpal Grace and I are from the beautiful city of Philly and we decided to head to our favorite coffee shop, Joe, in Rittenhouse Square for our soy cappuccinos.

Caffeine in hand, sitting in the park enjoying the sun and the breeze and perfect conversation, we decided that exploring the city and having a day of adventure was more important than anything else on our schedule.

For a day of exploring; a comfortable crop top, boyfriend jeans, and casual platforms were the perfect combination. An added flannel around the waist added the hope of staying out as late as we wanted, even into the chilly night.

To me, being a Rebel girl means being present in every moment and finding inspiration in everything around me. It means always living outside of my comfort zone, being bold and confident when facing every new day, working hard, but never taking life too seriously. This is how I wore it. Now, we want to find out how you wear it. Find the “Fashion School Dropout” cropped tee on the site and find fun ways to work it into your individual style, as you confidently face whatever craziness your days bring!

Have a great weekend!
