Rewind my life two years ago, I was a high school senior
with the dreams of becoming a college soccer player. During this phase of my
life I could never see myself losing passion for soccer and my ultimate goal of
becoming a kindergarten teacher. Fast forward to my present day situation, I am
currently enrolled in the textiles and merchandising program at the University
of Wyoming, have a relationship with my love for blogging, anything and
everything, and usually choose to buy clothes over food. In just two short
years my whole entire way I wanted to live my life changed. Realizing that my
passion in life changed from wanting to become a college athlete to becoming a
creative soul with the biggest desire in the world to become part of the
fashion industry. Thinking back now about how different I have become is
absolutely crazy. Everyone in some point in their life has been faced with that
fork in the road that makes them choose between staying the same or changing to
grow into the person you want to become. I am sure after hearing about the path
that I choose to journey along you can relate. Chances are if you looked back
three, two, or even just a year ago you would not be the same person that you
are today. Maybe you changed your
address, favorite Starbuck’s drink, or your ultimate goal in life, whatever it
was it has shaped you into a different person. Now don’t get me wrong change
can be a difficult thing at first but if you think about your future and what
is best for you it might not be such a bad thing. Adjusting is the hardest part but when you think
ahead to what you want to do with your future change is necessary. It is an ingredient
needed to reach your dreams. Without change you wouldn’t become the person who
you want to become. Whether it’s starting college, a new job, or a relationship
you should greet change with a smile and in return you might gain something in
your life you cannot believe you were living without before. So this week I
want you to embrace the change in your life whether it’s getting a new roommate
or chopping off your beloved locks of hair. Change is an apart of life and who
wants to be the same braced-faced person you were in high school?
Let’s all fight the Monday blues together and embrace all the change that is to come!
XO,
Alex
