Denim Lover

Tuesday, September 2, 2014 /

Denim is the staple to every Rebel gal's wardrobe. As September is upon us, we have compiled a list of our top 5 favourite denim trends for this Fall season.
1.     The ‘MOM’ Jean
Love them or loathe them, you cannot deny the comeback of the Mom jean. I promise you they can look cool and not frumpy and old fashioned. Pair them with a graphic tee and some killer heels and you have yourself a trend setting 90s inspired outfit.

1.     The Black Skinny
    The black skinny jean is as important as the LBD to any rebel girl. They are the easiest way to look chic and stylish from morning to night. I absolutely swear by the black skinnies from Topshop. They just fit perfectly! Try the black ‘Joni’ jean for a delicious denim experience.

1.     The Oversized Denim Shirt
I see this trend as a cooler alternative to a baggy T-shirt (not that I don’t love baggy tshirts). You can throw an oversized denim shirt over leggings or tights and be ready to go. Easy and fabulous…? Yes please.

1.     The Ripped Jean
    This is a much more grungy approach to a denim trend. Rip those jeans apart for a very rock chick look. I can’t deny that when I see people rocking ripped jeans on the street I admire their ability to seem so effortlessly cool.
     http://www.forever21.com/ Ripped and Frayed Boyfriend Jean $39.80

1.     The Denim Dress
 I will openly admit to owning seven denim dresses. Some would say that this is excessive; I would say that this is fantastic. There is just something so fun about wearing all denim. If you love wearing dresses, and love wearing jeans, why not combine the two and rock a denim dress this season.

Work that denim rebel girls! Until next time.

Top 5 #OOTD posts on Instagram this week

Friday, August 15, 2014 /

Because we all need a little bit of outfit inspiration for the weekend...

@brandymelvilleusa
The Little Mermaid much? Brandy Melville nailed it with this underwater look.  Ariel would be envious of these flared floral soft pants and this halter crop top that looks comfortable enough to go out in...and proceed to fall asleep in (we won’t judge). This #OOTD post is absolute perfection. No further explanation needed.
@beyonce
Divorce rumors have been swirling, and in the mother of all #OOTD posts, Bey absolutely SQUASHED them with the click of one “post” button. In case anybody had doubts, Queen B came back to remind the world who her man is. Take that, media.
@ineabell
This #OOTD shows how chic a simple black and white outfit can be. This post gives off the “strolling through NYC on a lazy afternoon” vibe, and I totally dig it. Plus, those birkenstocks look comfortable and pull the entire outfit together in a I-don’t-care-enough-to-wear-anything-else kinda way.
@imjennim
With the Outside Lands Music Festival giving us plenty of adorable festival fashion to drool over, this #OOTD was absolute summer-to-fall festival fashion transition perfection. High waisted boyfriend jeans, black booties, black hat, and camel jacket- a formula to envy and also one easy to copy in the upcoming weeks.
@itsmisshuynh
Rebel Redefined girls know the value in the perfect graphic tee, and so does @itsmisshuynh. She paired hers with black shorts, a backwards hat, sunnies and black boots. This is the perfect kick-back cool girl outfit. Plus, she’s sitting in the middle of train tracks. She’s too cool (for anything but ivy league) school.
